Weezie is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, process-loving Product Development Associate who is excited to join a collaborative and growing team. You will help support the Product team in all tasks related to the development of our physical product including project and calendar management, supplier communication and more. You will report to the Vice President of Merchandising and work cross-functionally with other teams including Design and Operations. 

What you’ll do: 

• Serve as key liaison between Weezie and its Suppliers to understand lead times, capabilities and costing, driving efficiencies where possible.
• Maintain daily communication with outside vendors to ensure that all development samples arrive by their agreed-upon due dates and achieve on-time delivery for production. 
• Support the research, sourcing, and development of new products and categories. 
• Maintain a deep understanding of the Weezie line, and keep a pulse on industry trends, new technologies, and competitor product launches.
• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, planning, and marketing to align on creative vision and cost requirements.
• Actively identify cost drivers and prioritize needs throughout the design process to create the most compelling yet competitive product.
• Active participation in the sample review process to ensure all design changes, cost or quality concerns are clearly documented and communicated to external partners.
• Owner of all SKU attributes through careful cataloging, measurement and management of samples.
• Proactively identify and manage through any production-related issues to meet deadlines.
• Meticulous project management and scheduling to keep new product launches on time and within budget.

Who you are: 

• Bachelor's Degree with 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment 
• Direct product development or production experience is preferred but not required
• You have a background (or interest) in production, sourcing or project management 
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
• You are detail oriented, and extremely organized
• You are a task master and have the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
• You thrive in a fast paced environment, and have no issue adhering to deadlines
• You can communicate clearly and seamlessly with a wide array of internal and external stakeholders
• You are resourceful with a ‘no task is too small’ attitude
• You are a team player, have a positive, “can do” attitude and are not afraid of a challenge
